The MB KIMANDU MODERN BLACK 5 BK MP is part of the KIMANDU series, the result of the collaboration between Richard Bona and Marco De Virgiliis, and who not only agreed on this point of the project, otherwise Richard would take his name not make available. After all, he is one of the best-known and most respected bassists of our time!
With this attitude, a bass series should be created, in addition to the high-end version KILIMANJARO, which is cheaper, but still meets a high quality standard.
In the KIMANDU series, the ideas of both could be implemented.
The Kimandu bass having the same charm, same design and same product philosophy, keeping the same main features but using a production process letting us to offer it at an incredible price!

ANY SLIGHT DIFFERENCE IS DUE TO OUR ARTISAN PROCESS WHICH REFERS TO ITALIAN LUTEMAKING TRADITION AND TO THE CONSTANT IMPROVEMENTS WE BRING TO OUR PRODUCTS.
Controls are VOLUME/VOLUME/TONE (with an active/passive switch on Tone) letting an incredible pickups blending capability compared to a regular Blend control and with active BASS/MID/TREBLE… so you’re not gonna have resounding bass or blowing treble. The frequency values have been chosen to offer a wide range of tones that you can use on any setting. The TONE control (working also in the passive mode) has been defined by Richard as the “G Point” because of its accurate efficacy letting to move from smooth and warm tones to bright and hi-fi ones, everything in a one of a kind “sensual” way.
